Rev. Robert R. Blackburn
Rev. Robert R. Blackburn was raised in Calumet City, Illinois. He received his education at Illinois State University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He joined our church as a Seminary student in 1987. Upon graduation, he accepted the position of Associate Pastor here at Beechwood.
Rev. Robert Blackburn was issued the call to be the Pastor in November of 1996. We are truly grateful to God for our pastor and his family: Margaret, his wife and 5 children: Patrick, David, Kara, Kevin and Tommy. Robert and Margaret are blessed with two grandchildren: Maddy Grace, Cole, Leah, Leilani, and Ivy Rose.
Robert preaches with great enthusiasm from the Word of God. He and his wife are firm believers in the foundation of Sunday School in which they both teach. He feels a burden for the lost in our society and a need for evangelism. He believes that all believers are responsible for spreading the Good News.
